NEA: Shot list

Double page spread - This shot may be used within the magazine as it displays to the reader a naturalistic vibe from the artist, as they are brought to nature. This standing position - through a long shot - the reader is able to see a section of the models outfit, which may further link to the location, resembling the artist's personality. The slight low angle again shows the model as relaxed and draws attention to the adventure and superiority experienced by the musician including the model's body language and facial expression. The shot is based around trees as it takes the reader to a different location, leading the viewer to believe the artist has many traits, which can be expressed in many locations and in abstract scenery rather than plain areas.

Front cover shot -This shot is based more on the artist's facial expression, hair and makeup. This would allow the viewer to gain a more personal level with the artist, causing them to focus just on the model and nothing else. This photograph will be taken from a slight high angle and close-up. Taking this image in front of direct light will further will cause the viewer to again concentrate on the details of then artists face and symbolise her as a new direction of music. This will again be set outside to reflect the natural theme of the models persona. Using natural lighting causes the viewer to see the 'true' perspective of the singer.

Double page spread - this photograph presents a different perspective of the model and the magazine as it shows the model from a further distance, of a long shot. The absence of the closer details also adds a curious element to the image, as the viewer is more distant to the artist as opposed to the rest of the images. This further presents a different perspective of the artist, which will make it suitable for being showcased inside the magazine. The model's body position adds a more preserved and formal look to the shot. The high angle and the fact that the artist is sitting down convey her as having a conversation with the viewer, representing the article where the musician is talking to the interviewer.

Double page spread - This pose is taken from a low angle in order to emphasise the model's influence on
a new style of music in the UK, relating to the coverlines on the front cover and the anchor introducing the musician. The bright light behind also distracts the audience from the model's face which highlights the clothing of the model rather than the actual person. This shows another point of view of the artists within the magazine as fashion plays a huge part into music and the musician's persona. This will be taken from a medium shot again to highlight the models obscure pose and bold clothing. The subversion of the angle of gaze also portrays the differing viewpoints of the singer.

Front cover shot -This shot is based on the lighting on the models face. It would cause the viewer to see the artist under a more abstract effect. I would do this by experimenting with different selections of bright colour arrangements that can be cast on the musicians face. The colours used may further match the layout of the front cover by using the same colour within the coverlines. This photograph may be taken from low angle and be a close-up. This will cause the focal point of the image to be on the models face and the setting of the photo.

Front cover shot - This shot is in the same style and type as the previous as I wanted to experiment more with the use of the colour projection on the model. This one differs at it will be shot with the artist's face more in the centre with her looking closer to the direction of the camera. It will also instead just project a plain colour on the models face rather than a specific pattern or style. This would draw the viewer more into the musicians facial features with the colour projection not distracting the audience as much as the last shot.
